Evan enjoyed his first trip to the zoo last week with his cousin Ben. We went with auntie Bev, cousin Ben and Granny and Grandpa Alexander.

Back to regular sleep

So, the 6 hour sleep period was a one night deal. The last 2 nights he has been back to getting up at about 1:00/1:30 and then again around 4:00 before getting up for the day at 6:00/6:30. He has not been sleeping well during the day and so that is probably not helping as he seems to sleep much better at night if he naps well during the day.

Good Night's Sleep

Evan slept from 10 pm until 4:20 am last night...his longest stretch ever. I almost couldn't believe it when I woke up to him wimpering at 4:20...I was so excited. He then went back to sleep after eating and woke up at his normal waking time of 6:30. Let's see if it happens again tonight and the next night...if so I will be a happy mamma.

Smiling Baby

Evan has finally started smiling...not very often yet, but we managed to catch him today.

Cute Pics

This is my new favorite thing...it is an Ergo baby carrier that Jamey, Melissa and the boys got me for my birthday. It has become the only way I can get Evan to sleep during the day and actually get stuff done as well.

As you can see, Evan like to sleep on daddy. Daddy likes to sleep too...

I just love these pics...he is finally more alert during the day (when he is not crying that is :-) and keeping his eyes open to check out his surroundings. We love his beautiful blue eyes and hope they stay that way, but are pretty sure that they are going to turn brown.
